How it works

How Afterglow rebuilds a trip from your photos

Four steps. No planning, no live tracking — just the trip you already took.

  1. Drop in your photos

Pick the photos straight from your camera roll, or drag them onto the page — no sorting, no manual entry required. Afterglow reads the location and time already saved in each photo, right there in your browser. HEIC photos convert automatically, so nothing needs exporting first.

  2. Watch the journey rebuild

Your stops, route, flights, and road legs appear on a living globe — usually in about a minute. Nothing to plan or configure; Afterglow reconstructs the whole shape of the trip from what the photos already know. Rename or merge a stop if the automatic read gets something wrong.

  3. Tell the story

An AI interview asks you about each stop and turns your answers into journal entries and captions, written in your own words. Drag photos straight into page layouts to build the book as you go. If a shot is too low-res to print well, enhance it to print quality for 1 credit.

  4. Keep it forever

Share a private link, export a free Instagram reel, or order a printed book from €39. A PDF of your book costs half its print price, or nothing if you order a printed copy. Sign in and every trip backs up automatically to your cloud diary.

What you need

Photos from a trip you already took. That's the whole list — and if they carry no location, Afterglow simply asks you to name each day's place once.
